Hi! I'm Lisa Cinar, an illustrator, writer and overall enthusiast of picture books and all things related.
I grew up in Germany, then moved to Boston Massachusetts, and then to Vancouver BC where I attended the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design where I am now teaching courses on 'Illustration for Picture Books'.
I have written and illustrated 2 Picture books. 'The Day it all blew Away' (Simply Read Books, 2008) which was nominated for the Christie Harris Illustrated Children's Literature Prize in 2008, and 'Paulina P. (for Petersen)' (Simply Read Books,2009).
I am currently available for freelance Illustration work
as well as one-on-one editing help and consultation with your picture book project.
